Solar providers are seeing a surge in interest among homeowners hoping to install their own solar energy systems. Those CNA spoke with said it’s driven by work-from-home trends and new loans. The total capacity of solar panels in Singapore has grown about seven times since 2015. The residential sector — or landed housing — makes up just 3.57% of Singapore’s total solar capacity. With Singapore aiming to deploy 1.5 gigawatt-peak of solar energy by 2025, providers said education will be key to prompting more to make the switch.
